
John Peeler, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer
Since joining Veeco in 2007, Mr. Peeler has led the transformation of Veeco into a high growth, technology leader in LED, Solar and Data Storage Process Equipment markets. Through his strategic focus and operational excellence initiatives, Veeco’s market share, customer satisfaction and shareholder value have grown dramatically.
Mr. Peeler spent his early career in engineering, marketing and product development in the communications test equipment industry. He became President and CEO of TTC in 1992 where he built the company into a global communications test equipment leader. Through organic development and a series of acquisitions, he evolved the company to become Acterna Inc. which became the largest global provider of field service communications test products. Acterna was acquired by JDSU in 2005 and became its largest and most profitable business.
Mr. Peeler earned a B.S. and Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering and graduated with high distinction from the University of Virginia. He is married with 3 children and enjoys biking, scuba and outdoor sports.

David Glass, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
David Glass became Chief Financial Officer in January 2010, joining Veeco following a twenty-five year career with Rohm and Haas Company, a $10 billion global specialty materials company that was acquired in 2009 by The Dow Chemical Company. Mr. Glass has served in many roles during his long career at Rohm and Haas, including CFO of Rohm and Haas' $2 billion Electronic Materials division in Shanghai and CFO of the Rohm and Haas Asia-Pacific region. From 2003-2007, Mr. Glass served as Rohm and Haas' Corporate Controller, based in Philadelphia, PA, where he led a 350-person staff and was responsible for company-wide accounting, financial controls and SEC reporting.
Previously, he was posted in China, initially as Finance Director of APAC and then as General Manager of Rohm and Haas' Coatings business for Greater China, where he oversaw manufacturing, technical support, sales and marketing teams. Prior to that, he was based in Montgomeryville, PA as President of Toso-Haas Biotech, a stand-alone joint venture between Rohm and Haas and Tosoh of Japan. Mr. Glass' prior roles included a five-year UK-based assignment, first as Finance Director for Europe, and then later as Director, European Emerging Markets Business Development.
He has been involved in over a dozen M&A transactions for Rohm and Haas. Mr. Glass holds a Master’s Degree in Finance, Economics and International Business from Northwestern University, a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Accounting from Lewis University, and passed the CPA exam in 1981.

Bill Miller, Executive Vice President, Process Equipment
Dr. Miller joined Veeco in November 2002 and was named the Executive Vice President, Process Equipment in December 2011. Prior to this promotion, he was the Executive Vice President, LED & Solar, Senior Vice President, General Manager of the LED equipment business and Vice President, General Manager of Veeco’s Data Storage equipment. Prior to holding those positions, he led both the engineering and operations organizations. He has over 15 years semiconductor and data storage equipment industry experience. Prior to joining Veeco, he held a range of engineering and operations leadership positions at Advanced Energy Industries. Dr. Miller holds BSE, MSE, and PhD degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania.

Peter Collingwood, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales & Services
Peter Collingwood joined Veeco in October 2008 as Vice President and General Manager for Europe and in June 2009 became Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Field Service Organization. Mr. Collingwood joined Veeco from JDSU, where he served as the Regional Vice President of Sales for Europe, Middle East and Africa for the Communications Test Division. His experience spans nearly twenty years with a proven track record of leading and developing highly successful sales and service teams. During his tenure with JDSU (formerly Acterna) he also held sales management positions based in Maryland , USA and Vienna, Austria. Mr. Collingwood completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from Loughborough University of Technology, UK. Additionally, he received a Diploma in Industrial Studies from Loughborough University of Technology.

Ken MacWilliams, Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing & Growth
Ken MacWilliams joined Veeco in April 2011 as Senior Vice President, Strategic Marketing & Growth. Prior to joining Veeco, Dr. MacWilliams held several key leadership positions throughout his tenure at Applied Materials. He served as Vice President of Strategy and Marketing for Silicon Systems Group, Vice President and General Manager of Technology and New Products for Solar Business Group, Vice President and General Manager of Maydan Technology, and Vice President CTO and CMO Thin Films. Prior to that, he oversaw Novellus Systems’ PECVD Business as Vice President and General Manager and as Director of Technology and Product Manager. Dr. MacWilliams also served as Director of the Solid State Electronics Laboratory at The Aerospace Corporation before joining Novellus Systems. Dr. MacWilliams earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Physics from Clarkson University. Additionally, he received his MS, and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Nino Federico, Senior Vice President, Operations
Nino Federico joined Veeco in October of 2008 as Vice President of Operations for Veeco Process Equipment. Since that time he has been promoted to Senior Vice President and is responsible for Veeco Operations Worldwide. Prior to joining Veeco, Nino held a range of positions including General Management, Global Manufacturing and Global Services with over 25 years of experience in the Semiconductor and Automatic Test Equipment industries.
